3/22/2008 又回Loughborough!借着LAPC 2008的机会，又去了一趟Loughborough，记得上次去那里是2006年的12月，参加了ZJ同志的毕业典礼，上次的印象还蛮不错，和Mike一伙人走走逛逛也挺有趣儿。这次便无聊了。整天关在一个Conference Centre里面听各种各样的Invited session，还号称是4星级的宾馆，怎么连牙刷，牙膏都不提供啊？
 害得我几天牙都没刷成，真是郁闷坏了！ 后来才晓得欧洲这边的旅馆里面都不提供比较私人的用品。哎～又老土了一次，下次出去开会，我一定要带私人用品！ 另外一个不解的事情是，好不容易等到会开完了，琢磨着去Town centre里面看看，购购物啥的，结果不曾料到，刚刚不到下午5点半，所有的商店都基本关完了！我就呐了闷了，你说这些商店都给谁开的啊？
 看看手中的火车票，7点45啊，怎么打发时间呢？ 结果无聊至极，在火车站里面的候车室里面坐了大概1个半小时，上车走人！回到London，才知道她的好，她好什么呢？人啊！总算是见着人了！在那个鬼地方，走在路上，就压根碰不到几个人！ 今天是Good Friday，昨天去Nick家吃饭，好在人数不是13个，不然的话可真成“最后的晚餐”了。
再次证实英国人不会做饭，但是甜点还不错。Anyway, Have a nice Easter!  2/25/2008 第二个春节在London我知道这个年已经算是基本过完了，其实早就想写点什么来纪念我第二个在伦敦过的春节，但最近一直都没有时间，总是在忙着各种各样的事情 （哎，读博真的不是我想象的那么简单的啊！
）。 所以还要在这里给国内的父老乡亲们拜个晚年了！鼠年吉祥！ 啊！突然想起今年是俺姥姥的本命年啊！正好可以回去看望她老人家了～  我知道可能还会有第三个，第四个春节在这里过，但是实在不想在这里再多过一个了！
虽然有小白，小西夫妇陪伴才使得这个节有那么一点气氛，但是我想如果在国内，哥几个聚在一起，喝酒聊天，该有多好啊！ 所以我提议下个春节我们一起回去过吧～ 哈哈。。春节的时候，老板还搞了个Party，邀请了他的所有学生以及社会各级人士参加。Party还是不错的，我就是觉得他们家可真远啊，估计他每天花在路上的时间至少要3个小时。真不晓得他老人家天天这么travel累不累。
不过那里的环境还是很好的，比起东伦敦来不知道要强上多少倍！估计这也是其中一个原因吧。嘿嘿。。。这几个星期除了忙学习，还抽空搬了一次家，从Barking搬到了Bethnal Green，离学校也近了，不用在给伦敦的公共交通事业捐钱了！重要的一点是感觉是生活在伦敦，因为总算是经常看见白色的人了。
最可气的是那个傻X房东，这个阿三儿到现在还欠着我押金不给，上次居然给我一张空头支票！ 真给你的民族丢人！Shame on you! 现在必须把这些烦心的事放在一边，因为马上就要交Proposal了，还有那么多的paper和report要读，哎，又怎么可能读完呢～
抓紧时间，一定要抓紧时间！ 五月的北京一定很美，所以期待五月与你们相聚在北京！ P.S. 谢谢你，你们的礼物，我会好好珍惜！ 12/13/2007 Graduation Ceremony!I thought yesterday was a big day for those of you who did MSc degree at department of Electronic Engineering.
 It was glad that many friends and classmates who can make it. There were lots of fun and I enjoyed it very much!  I wanna express my thanks to my parents for their unconditional love and support, although they couldn't make it this time for the sake of time but I believe they will be here when I am going to have another graduation ceremony in the future~
As Yousef said, I just had a graduation ceremony yesterday which means I just graduated and today should be my first day on my PhD study. Well, that's true in the theory but I have already been started for three months.
BTW, thanks should go to Thomas, Temi and Raheel for taking pics for me! 10/6/2007 In Mood of September! 九月终于过去了，回头想想这个月的大部分时间我都是在等待中度过。 等房东去看房子，等着面试，等考试结果，等申请结果，等train，等coach，等tube，等人，接人，送人。阿~ 我烦透了！ 九月是一个欢聚与离别的季节。月初，我做完Project，从Harlow回到了London，与Nortel的一帮牛人分开了，也与当时的Flatmate Jana 说再见了。Jana是个很好的女孩，从斯洛伐克来，我在Harlow的时候帮了我很多忙，甚至当我搬家的时候还主动帮我搬东西，另我十分感动，谢谢！
 回到学校，幸运的被录取参加学校的International Students Welcome Programme。去Heathrow接新生和参加一些Workshop，认识了不少新人，哪个国家的都有，但中国人还是主角阿~ 记得当时去接机，我们安排的Bus一趟趟的往学校拉人，因为中国来的航班一般在晚上，所以被安排在了最后一班bus。其余的几班都是minibus，只有最后一班是个大bus，如此看来中国的市场有多大了吧~
 最令我开心的是可以去Newcastle玩儿，正好俺兄弟Wayne在那里，俺俩也没去哪里玩，成天就是变着法儿的吃喝，简直太爽了~ 谢谢你了兄弟！祝你和老婆的蜜月一切顺利！
 另外一件匪夷所思的事情是，我的一个发小，失去多年的联系，居然我们可以在伦敦再次碰面！这简直太神奇了！孙蒙同志此次来英工作并携新婚夫人（好幸福啊~
），这下子我在伦敦可算是有亲人了，以后少不了去你们家里蹭饭~嘿嘿。。。 最近又得之几个好友结婚的消息，不知怎的，除了高兴之外，还多了一分伤感，也许一个人在外许久，在这个时候也会感到孤单吧~
 所以我决定，从现在起必须要解决个人问题了！ 今天刚刚收到了系里面的邮件，最终我拿到了Overall Distinction，算是个好消息，期待十月有更多的好消息等着我~

5/29/2007 100 Anniversary!Today (28/May/2007) is the 100 anniversary of my grandpa's birth.   I miss you......  5/21/2007 Bye EXAMS! Cheers, Cheers~ When we finished the last exam which is mobile services, although the questions are hard to answer, but all the people in the room didn't think about it just put their hands up shaking and said: "Yeah~ it's over~" Definitely it's OVER!  It should be remembered, after the exam, with other guys who are doing the same subject we took pics in front of Engineering building. I really felt happy at that moment. (But until now I don't get them from Seki, so i will put them later on.)I went back to my room, also took a pic in front of my "post wall". I looked sort of tired.
 Not tired, exhausted actually! Should I take a break? Of course you can! But how long? 24 hours should be enough (said by Prof. Cuthbert)! Bugger! But I'd better take this advice, because I am going to do something really new and advanced project. It's a big challenge for me and I said to myself as well as Prof. Chen, "I will and I can take this challenge!"
 Here comes the summer in London, but I will not be in London over the summer...... 3/29/2007 The Second Term is Over!The second term is over, that is to say, I already finished all my MSc courses!
But I have to say, it's all boring, since there are so many theories which makes me suck. The most important thing we have to face is the exams! We will be tested all of these courses in 18 days. That's terrific! For the past a couple of days, I nearly mad. I were cramming for my satellite communication paper and also looking through all the notes of wireless networks for MCQ test. The worse is, at the same time, I have to think about my final project and something need to talk when I meet my supervisor. God, I only slept 6 hours for these days.  For now, everything seems to be done. I submitted paper on time, got a good mark on MCQ and talked with Prof. Chen. So I should take a break, a short break! On Tuesday, with Paul, Claudia, Marta and Victoria we went to Weatherspoon for a drink! We were chatting and learning different languages. They are kind and nice girls but except Paul who is our teacher.  I like this course so much because we just talk and discuss in the class, there are lots of fun. I would like to say here, if you wanna go to Beijing, please don't forget you have a friend here. Best Wishes for you all to have a great Easter holidays! 2/20/2007 Happy the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year)!这是我长这么大第一次在外面过年，怎么说呢，多了一丝想念，但获得了更多的快乐和新鲜感。饺子肯定是少不了的节目了，我这个Chef“率领”大家齐动手，终于在4个小时之内完成并超额完成了预定的任务--300（实际400个）个饺子！ 品种繁多（猪肉白菜，牛肉胡萝卜，猪肉三鲜），风味独特，深受广大人民和国际友人的称赞，哈哈... 当然也少不了表扬Amanda的海鲜汤，Lin的西芹腰果，Jing的扁豆炒肉以及Qin的土豆炖牛肉，当然还有我的口水鸡~ 嘿嘿。。 在这么多“能工巧匠”的帮助之下，难怪Mani会说：“Frankie, you should open a restaurant” 第二天，本来大家说好一起去Chinatown参加parad，结果Jacky，Lin和Jing还是没有抵挡住睡觉的诱惑，错过了这么一个体验拥挤的好机会！
最终只有Amanda，Mani同去。Mani就是强啊，昨晚一直Clubbing到5点，6点半回来的，9点半给我打电话叫我起床去parad，佩服！ Trafalgar squar早已是人山人海了，不光是中国人（实际上中国人并不是很多），各种肤色，各种语言的人都有，再次感受到London的Culture Diversity。主席台上的自然都是“牛人”啦，什么这爵士，那爵士的，还有中国驻英大使，可惜Ken没来，也没跟我打声招呼，有点不厚道了阿~ 说实话，来这边之前真没想到人会有那么的多，在Chinatown里面几乎都堵死了，半天都动不了窝儿，唉，在北京我都没见过这光景~  顺便说一句，这几个月都不想再吃饺子了，那天的饺子我想是包多了，我们尝试了各种饺子的吃法，包括：蒸、煎、烤、蒸、炸，就差用微波炉了。
在这里也要给各位兄弟姐妹，父老乡亲拜年了！祝大家猪年吉祥，身体如同“猪”一样健康~哈哈哈。。。女生该疯了~ 1/15/2007 Christmas and New Year Eve!During the Chrismas holidays we were walking around in central London for exploring some nice places. Actually there are! Places are nice but we are tired because we just walk! I have never walked such a long way, it's crazy~
 "Boxing Day" is the day after the "Christmas Day". People come out and rush into the store to buy something they wanted. It's so crowded in the street. You can figure it out the same thing in Beijing's shopping mall during the spring festival.
 The biggest nights of the year is on New Year's Eve. About 150,000 revellers or more are expected at the London Eye to watch the annual new year's fireworks display. It's a spectacular show! After the firework show, people celebrate the new year. They are dancing, they are singing, they are kissing, even though they are fighting!
 Now, the new term has started. I have to go back to study......  12/21/2006 The First Term Over!终于放假了！
在痛苦的完成了3篇paper后，我需要的是休息，休息，在休息~ 掐指一算，来London已经有3个半月了，这算是第一个寒假吧，还居然有寒假作业！Kao~ 老师太不厚道，这不是成心让我们过不好Christmas吗！不管它了，先玩儿两天在说~ 嘿嘿。。。15号，Healthrow Terminal 4, 在苦苦等待2个半小时后，Mike终于到达了London！好兄弟见面自然少不了一阵寒暄，坐在Tube里面，肆无忌惮的一通海聊，旁边的老外自然只有只闻其声，不明其意了~哈哈。。
第二天，俺们去了Madame Tussauds，这个地方挺好玩儿，你可以和各种名人合影，我和“老江”还来了一张！
不过要提醒大家，这个地方还是蛮贵的，通常票价24.99，不过5点以后只要17磅，一个半小时的时间足够了！本来开开心心的去China Town吃饭，结果不知道进了一家什么狗屁馆子，其中的一个服务生，态度极为恶劣，我tmd都想抽丫了！ 也就是在人家的地盘上，只好忍住了。去了Loughborough，参加了ZJ同志的毕业典礼，恭喜你了！我算是知道了，UK的学校只要不在London，个个是地大物博，院系之间离的巨远无比，你还必须得有车，我说的是4个轮子的，才够方便，TMD~
 不写了，累了，洗个澡，好好睡一觉，明天计划一下Christmas的行程安排~ 11/29/2006 Dumpling and Spanish Party!It's the first time we ate the dumpling in the UK, A Spanish Party was held in Stocks court common room on last Saturday. I can not figure out why this party called spanish party. Maybe our "Queen ester of stocks court" is from Spain. I learned some spanish words from her but unfortunately I forgot them all now! 11/6/2006 Guy Fawkes Night!这段时间太忙了，有那么多的paper和programme要写，郁闷的要命！今天总算有时间有理由玩一玩了，因为今天是英国传统的Guy Fawkes Night! What's it? It celebrates the failure of the Gunpowder Plot, in which a group of Catholic conspirators, led by one Robert Catesby, and including Guy Fawkes, attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in Westminster on the evening of 5 November 1605, when the Protestant King James I (James VI of Scotland) was within its walls.
The celebrations, which in the United Kingdom take place in towns and villages across the country, involve fireworks displays and the building of bonfires, on which "guys", or dummies, representing Guy Fawkes, the most infamous of the conspirators, are traditionally burnt. Before the fifth, children use the "guys" to beg for money with the chant "Penny for the guy". We were going to Victoria park and seeing the opera of The Emperor and the Tiger. The most important thing is it's free! 在英国，从来没有见过这么多的人聚会，人们从四面八方聚集到Victoria park，里面不仅有焰火，还有嘉年华！你走在大街上，可以看见，听见很多人在放焰火，这种感觉像在北京过春节一样，好玩儿！ 我发现英国人很容易激动，看表演的时候，我前面的一个英国女生，看见舞台上面的“Tiger”就不停的喊：“Oh~, tiger~! It's so big! I love it~! I love it~~~!” It's crazy! 在一片欢呼和掌声中，焰火表演结束了，就这样，上百万的英镑被烧光了~ Next week is our reading week, maybe we can have a relatively easy week~ 10/7/2006 留英回忆录（2）2006年9月9号晚7点左右
 Healthrow Airport不愧是世界上最繁忙的机场之一了，本已经到了，可飞机就是不能降落，在机场上空盘旋了得有20多分钟才降下来，停稳后才知道飞机停在了一个临时的停机地方，我们是被一车一车拉到出关地方的，到了一看那个人哦，都已经排满了，那个队得有36道弯，那么多的“外国人”，印巴人尤其的多！排队，排队，在排队！ 大约2个小时左右，终于轮到我们了，与高阿姨一起办理的出关手续，帮她翻译了入境官的问询，轮到我时，我不知为什么说了一句you are too busy， 结果那个官员开始跟我Complain起来，哎，耐心听完了她的complain我还得去see my doctor，这个不要紧，拿出我的“小黄本”来就搞定了！谁知那个队本来不长，只有不到10个人，可是那个检查的阿姨很是“热心”，不时的停下来维持那里的秩序，我晕！ 此时，我已经是又累又饿了，只想快点出去，快点回到住处，快点吃东西，快点睡觉~我真想对她说：Come on，hurry up，it's none of your bussiness! 出了关就去Reclaim luggage，远远看到我们的箱子在传送带上来来回回的传动着，搬了箱子下来，感觉好沉呐！ 终于走出了出口，一看不禁有些吃惊，那么多接机的人，这要是Vincent找不到我岂不是SB了？不过还好，这件事情没有发生~ 我们如期的在机场相见了！ 与高阿姨道别后，花了4磅买了张one day travel的地铁票，直奔学校喽~  London的地铁真是发达，线路四通八达，几乎地面上能到的地方，地下都能到！不过对于我来讲，拿着那么重的行李坐地铁是痛苦的，因为我们还得导一次车。与Vincent一起大包小包的出了地铁，穿过Yellow bridge，终于到了学校的east gate，进了Maynard House，放下行李，此时我们已经筋疲力尽了，感谢Vincent为我做了来london后的第一顿饭：意大利面+菜花，虽然它很难吃~ 呵呵。。 当晚还见了Yuning，虽然很久不见，但由于已经连续10多个小时没有睡觉，没有多聊，便一个人走进房间，看了看表都凌晨12点多了，澡都懒得洗了，倒头睡去~ 2006年9月10号
早上7点钟便醒了，一看时间尚早，躺到8点钟，将Vincent叫醒，等Yuning过来接我去Victoria coach station， 忘记了开车的那位弟兄的名字，但我记得他来自Malaysia，他告诉我说london的生活很boring，我告诉他说没准很Fantastic，他笑了笑说，ok，After one year，you'll tell me. 我说“Sure”。 登上了去Norwich的大巴车，上车前，花了2磅买了一个Sandwich作为我的早餐。10点整开车了，Coach缓缓的开出了Station，在london市区内穿梭着，我也正好顺便看看london的风景。 London还是蛮漂亮的一座城市，街道干净，各种建筑风格独特，尤其是Cathedral，每一座都很漂亮！Coach远离了城市，飞奔在欧洲大陆的平原上，公路两旁是大片的草坪和一块块的草垛，有一种在内蒙草原的风情。时差对于我还是有些影响的，刚刚11点多就有些昏昏欲睡了，吃了一点东西后便开始酣睡起来。大约睡了一个小时，发觉车停了，不会到了吧，看看车窗外，是一个小城镇，有一座小桥，河中居然还有天鹅！ 问了一下司机，得知还没有到，只是中途停车，看看表，是阿，离到站时间还有将近一个小时呢！又睡了过去~ 大约一个小时后，我们抵达了目的地，这里我见到了星星和JoJo。我们一起去Norwich最好的shopping mall（这被我舅妈戏称为给一帮农民开了一个赶集的地方）搓了一顿PizzaHut，这里居然有自助餐形式，还有很多国内没有的东东。吃饱喝足了去UEA校园里逛了一逛，感觉UEA好大啊~  大片的草坪，湖波和运动馆，而且价格要比London便宜好多，搞得我都想转学了~嘿嘿。。 晚上去一个空着的House睡觉，我本满怀希望的想着那个House是如何如何的好，结果不然，里面居然还住着一个印度阿三，叫什么默罕默德~ kao~ 房间里面散发着一股“奇特”的味道，令人作呕~ 重新从星星那里拿来了被子，单子等，穿着衣服，伴着那股味道睡去~ 从此颠沛流离的生活就此开始...... 9/29/2006 留英回忆录（1）抵达英国伦敦已经接近20天了，日子算是刚刚安顿下来，这个星期开始上课了，又回到了阔别已久的学生时代，感觉不错~  这段日子真的是很忙，以至于有时候连吃饭的时间都没有，更别说更新我的Space了，有的时候朋友们管我要在London的照片，有的人说怎么出了国就消失了呢？别怪我不回应你们，这里向你们请罪了~  嘿嘿。。真别说，开始有点怀念在北京的生活了，一切是那么的“井然有序”，在London饮食开始变得没有规律，饥一顿饱一顿的是常事了，不过，没有规律也是规律吗，努力适应吧~ 适者生存是硬道理啊！哈哈。。 趁着刚开学这段时间相对轻松，赶紧把这段时间中发生的事情记录下来，希望我没有忘记什么。。。2006年9月9号
在北京首都机场与家人告别后入了关，赶紧去排队办理托运行李，队列还是挺长的，大概等了1个多小时，和高阿姨一起托运的行李，两个人加起来一共可以带75公斤！哈哈。。
我一人就带了将近55公斤，爽~ 行李搞定后，该安检了，又开始排队，一位非洲大叔还问我借了笔填一个离境表，轮到我时，那个警察居然问了我的工作单位，我当时心里就格噔一声，心想不会不让我走吧？ 但胡说也不行啊，他们那里一定有我的记录，只好如实说了，警察“嗯”了一声就让我过了，哈哈。。有惊无险~ 一切搞定后，一看表，kao，离登机时间就差30分钟了，我还没逛免税店呢，赶紧直奔免税店！到了免税店里面二话不说，直奔卖烟的地方，3条Marlboro加一条555，4条一共420多吧，比London便宜多了，这边一包就要5磅左右，好在我不抽烟，否则这怎么能抽得起阿！ 所有事情办完，准备登机了，但又迟迟不能登机，大家都很耐心的等待，40分钟之后，我们终于登上了这架CA937！早知如此，就在逛一会免税店了，干吗那么着急呢？国航这个航班的空姐们都很一般阿，还有几个应该是空嫂了吧？不过服务还是很热情的~ 又经过漫长的等待（大概40分钟吧），我们终于起飞了~ 飞机迅速的爬上了9000米的高空，看着窗外蔚蓝的天空和白皑皑的云海，心情不免有些激动，10小时之后，我将面临的崭新生活~ 一上飞机才知道，这架飞机上我们所里的人居然还有3个！天呐，这个世界好小阿~  经过10小时27分57秒的飞行， 我终于抵达了London，等待我的会是什么呢。。。。。。9/17/2006 The End！ The END

Frankie in London now!  9/5/2006 Tourism in Hangzhou! 俗话说得好~“上有天堂，下有苏杭!”此话不假，在杭州的6日过着神仙般的日子，每天白天游山玩水，晚上吃遍杭州名菜，饮酒作乐，好不快活阿~ 此次杭州游览了“西湖十景”-- 苏堤春晓 · 曲苑风荷 · 平湖秋月 · 断桥残雪 · 花港观鱼 · 柳浪闻莺 · 三潭印月 · 双峰插云 · 南屏晚钟 · 雷峰夕照。个人比较偏爱“花港观鱼”及“三潭印月”为什么呢？前者看的比较实在，那么多的鱼在那里游，看得过瘾；后者感觉很神秘，尽管它的用处是那么的简单。
 灵隐寺飞来峰感觉意思不大，如果没有导游的讲解，我是体会不到其中的奥妙的，就不是那儿文人~ 西溪湿地就更没有意思了，整儿个一大沼泽地，加之那天杭州气温高达38度，我们差点没有被烤死！游兴全无，草草的坐船溜达了一圈走人了~此次的一个遗憾是没有去成千岛湖，不过去了一趟绍兴，瞻仰了一下树人兄，去咸亨酒店喝了杯小酒，吃了吃茴香豆，就算弥补了吧~
杭州是个好地方，好山，好水，好人！感谢这几天陪我玩耍的Wayne，为了我，他连班都不上了，感动的痛哭流涕~
 还有陶陶，Snake，吕大。还要特别感谢的是陶陶的母亲，阿姨的做菜手段十分高明，我应该学会了一招叫做“油爆虾”（但还未实践！ ），而且还满足了我“大闸蟹”的欲望，等下次回来在去看您啊~哈哈。。 10th，Dec is a big day for Wayne and Taotao, it's a pity that I can not be with you but I will around you and wish you in my heart! Best wishes to you in advance!
